Is this an argument that we should root for Penn State to win on Saturday? As a Pitt fan that is a lot to ask for, but if that's what it takes for Harris to win the battle ground state of Pennsylvania and the Presidency, then I will happily do so.

As an Illini fan, Illinois football and basketball is demonstrably better in the last four years than during the Trump years. Truly the most important reason to despise Trump!

Considering how 45 galvanized his base by appearing at UFC events, it surprised me that Gov. Walz didn't attend more football games to extend his reach

Very interesting!

There are many things that irritate me about our 45th President (topped by the fact that he actually was our 45th President), but here’s a sports related one:

President Trump visited the broadcast booth during the Army-Navy game early in his presidency. (I believe it was in 2017.). As I recall, the broadcasters were chatting with him about the awesomeness of this annual event, talking about the commitment these players had made to serve the nation, etc. And the thing I recall most vividly was Trump denigrating the game and the players by stating that the Army-Navy game wasn’t “real football.” I have relatives who played in that game, and both my father and one of my sons played football at non-D-1 programs. This casual dismissal of all non-Power 5 programs and athletes in general and of those in the Army-Navy game in particular was especially galling to me.

It would have been interesting had he made this ignorant comment the Saturday before Election Day with respect to whether a sports-related comment could impact voter behavior.

I think Trump tapping out of Saturday's game and Jason Kelce coming in is some good replacement shit

This is totally ridiculous. These scholars need to direct their efforts towards subjects that

actually mean something, and matter.

Did you know that the number of utility poles per highway miles in Iowa directly correlates to the yearly snowfall inches in Vermont?

Think about that.
