Sounds like you would make a spectacular ESPN ombudsman. Don't take it if offered. You'd have to onboard far too much garbage in order to land on one rare swell thing trying to find balance.

I think one stint at ESPN was enough for me, Tom.

I left televised "analysis" in 2010 of NFL my main sport. When it wasn't shouty yet but it made me know nothing outside of highlights. I couldn't even learn of 12-4 chargers main contenders in the decade of 00s wasted time and ignorance. Mina I found thru podcasts as other wonks had her on. Thats all from espn except NFLmatchup which has gotten shouty as if trying to rope in their usual viewers. Airing at 630am as a fuck you to people like me.

Theres been an explosion of all22 film analysts on YT it keeps me busy enough with the authors I pay to read. Who has time for manufactured bullshit? BSKY is refreshingly free of those fans that want pie fights in comments to actual experts. X is a middle school shithole.

I know I'm, well elderly, but for years I have ignored ESPN except when I go out to eat at a restaurant that may have it on.. Why? Because it is just bullshit. I feel the same about all the pre game crap before kickoffs. I don't even tune in until five minutes before kickoff. The Super Bowl has to be the worst.
